Experienci@ UDLAP 2.0 is the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP¹) designed by UDLAP to strengthen the undergraduate students' skills in planning and implementing a specific initiative in their field of study. This QEP is part of our SACSCOC² accreditation.

Through this experience, students will apply their disciplinary knowledge while developing new skills and acquiring additional competencies as needed. In addition, the program encourages reflection on their learning and development throughout their academic career.

The evaluation of the program will take place in phases established in the Digital Culture and Professional Practices courses. In the first phase, which occurs during the first year, students will prepare a report explaining the capabilities and skills they expect to obtain in the Licenciatura in which they are enrolled. The second phase is composed of two elements, a report of the proposed project and an opinion essay.

The Professional Practices courses provide students with a variety of opportunities to develop essential competencies for a successful professional life that are work-based, project-based, and experiential. These competencies include knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The options available are:

• Internship in an organization. Activities carried out under the supervision of a mentor from the selected organization, which can be carried out according to the needs of the organization, i.e. onsite, hybrid, or online.

• Research project. Carrying out methodological activities that allow the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data in an objective and rigorous manner, to be carried out in organizations or research institutes outside UDLAP.

• Self-directed project. Original research or creation developed by the student, closely related to their career, and designed and carried out autonomously.

For the evaluation of the work placement, students must demonstrate in the completed project report the ability to use previous knowledge and the knowledge acquired during the development of the work placement to effectively plan and solve the situation or project. In the opinion essay, students will talk about competencies and how their expectations have been fulfilled in relation to the Licenciatura they are studying. This last opinion work can be compared then with the narrative presented in the Digital Culture course.
